    Jennifer Nix, owner of Fork & Leaf Travel in Birmingham, Alabama, plans luxury travel in the food and nature space.
    “Folks are looking for more experiential travel today, which ties into that sense of place and how integrated the culture, the heritage, the agriculture, the topography affects what’s available in what season, and how it’s so unique to these wonderful places,” says Nix.

    Nix is seeing more street food tours and hands-on culinary programs available in many destinations, and she’s quick to recommend them to her clients.
    “These are fun for me to book because that's also what I love to do when I travel,” she says. “I like to say we do everything from Michelin Star to Meat-and-Threes.”

    His & Hers—A honeymoon can be the perfect time to set the tone for how a couple likes to travel. Fork & Leaf Travel, Inc. Owner and Certified Travel Associate Jenn Nix shared a unique trip she planned for a couple who like very different things for vacation. The couple both wanted a Costa Rican honeymoon.

    He wanted fly-fishing in the mountains, while she craved luxe spa time on the beach. Jenn booked them in a private residence near pristine fishing for the first half of the trip and then at the adults-only Jardin del Eden Boutique Hotel in Tamarindo for the second half.
